so I'm finally getting this car moving along and I am ordering some things tomorrow.

oil pump/front case(comes with gaskets, 2gears, 3 seals)
Manley pistons .020 over with 9:1 comp
Manley rods
new oem mains
4 new oil squirters and crush washers
BSE kit
new ss oil pan bolts
castle plug and oring
rear main seal
grey rtv to seal the pan

aside from that I have my empty block, oil pan, crank, girdle.

is that all I would need to finish the assembly of the block?

I would recommend ACL Race bearings Main and rod!
I take it your going with a Topline oil pump?

well check jackson auto machine and you tell me.

.....I emailed them and they said it is produced by the same company mitsubishi uses so I can be sure it is a quality product....then I asked if it was the same exact as oem and they said yes, same unit sold by mitsubishi...

so if you can someone find out if this is for sure oem, thats what i want.

oil pan stud kit!!! not bolts! you will thank me! also the plastiguage unless you dont care about oil clearance in your rod/main bearings!

well i just feel there is good and bad using the stud kit.

good:

easier to put the pan on

bad:

Pan removal, The studs will not allow you to move the pan in order to break the seal when removing it.

also its not like the pan needs alot of clamp and what would i do for the shorter bolt for the timing belt side?

also I'm having a shop put my stuff together after they machine it so ill try and have them plastigauge it there with me present.

i dunno about the shorter bolt, i know extremepsi sells a stud kit. and i'm all over it when i replace that oil pan gasket. that is as soon as its running hahahaa. and dont take the oil pan off! if you need to its really not hard. my honda had all studs. hit it with a rubber mallet and it should break loose. Its your decision though. I always see studs work better and leak less.

Do not get the ss stud kit or the studs! The ss bolts are complete garbage and will break and you'll be stuck with drilling them all out of you block! I also wouldn't mess with the studs because of said reasons. Just go to your local home depot or autozone and get some new bolts, I believe there are 19? That's what $2? & Looks just as good :thumb:
