How does this combo sound?

I just can't shake the need for a DSM so my camaro is for sale.

Here are my short term plans.

2g manifold, evo 16g, 3'' turboback exhaust, MBC, k&n, walbro 255, and maybe some 550's.

I am stuck on what to do about a IC. Buddy can make piping. So I may have him make me some piping and run a FM. Not sure there.

With those mods do you think my tune would be completely horrible? I do not want to have to get more than a AFC to make it run right.

I wouldn't mind getting in the 8's with an AWD either.

8's is a long way to go. You can get there, but it will be much easier with your Camaro. Just to make sure you're aware - I don't think a 16G powered car will likely ever see 9's without a HUGE nitrous shot.

With the mods you listed, you should be able to hit 13's no problem - maybe 12's with the frontmount and the injectors.

You'll want to add an adjustable fuel pressure regulator (AFPR) to your list with that Walbro 255, and you'll need a datalogger to see what you're doing when you're tuning.

If you're going to upgrade injectors, 650's or 680's are the way to go, IMO, since they're not that much more expensive and offer more room to grow. You'll max out the 550's pretty easily if you're running the 16G to its potential.

With the mods you listed, an AFPR and a logger, tuning on the SAFC should be pretty straightforward.

Oh yeah, don't forget to throw a better clutch in there.

ok i just want to make sure you do realise.... if your in the position where you need to sell your camaro to buy a dsm, you dont have the kind of money it takes to get a dsm into the 8 seconds... ive only heard of one person with an 8 second dsm, and im guessing that there is no way in hell there is more than 3... your talking shep tranny, garret turbo, aem ems,... fuel rails, pump, injectors, pressure regulator, full 3in exaust with test pipe, huge fmic, 2.5 inch intercooler piping, gm maf, forged internals(rods pistons and crank) ported head, and anything else you can think of, with a 100 shot of nitros,... and really good driving....

not going to make it in the 8's with that set up. my setup includes alot of those same parts,plus a bunch of other stuff you dont have listed and im aiming for low 12's

ummm.... if you check the dsmtimes page there are 2 AWD DSM's running eights...... neither is a street car, both cars have been around for years, both drivers have been doing this for years, and both cars are sponsored.
