Ok guys went to the track for the first time at the track. Ok i ran a 16.075 at 87.49 with just a CAI and a Custom Catback exhaust. If you all could maybe tell me what you think about the time and if there is anything i could do to hit a 15.9 with these mods or if it possable please let me know. Thanks , Joe:talon:

That actually sounds fairly decent for those mods. Post up the slip or give us the rest of the info, mainly 60' time.

well i havent had a chance to scan it up yet but here are the numbers from my slip 60~2.526 330~6.860 1/8~10.425 MPH 68.91 1000~13.489 1/4~16.075 MPH 87.49 Thats my slip my r/t was ok only got a .495:talon:

Do you have the base version of the talkon as well, like the rS eclipse?

Cause you must have one of those good motors. MY motor as an NT with I/H/E and some other little mods barely pulled a 16.8, of course that was with full interior and a 12" sub and spare tire ect.

My 60ft back then were the same if not faster, but I think things like my body kit and suspension might have come into play.

that is a very respectable time slip. And if you drive like that you probably could push your self into the 15.9 area with your driving alone.

Gripper tires might help, full exhaust usually helps. But good luck with what your trying to acomplish.

Well im going back to cecil county this friday going for a 15.8 hopefully dont know if she has enough in her to pull it off tho. But i would like other to tell me what they run on thier non turbos just to give me an idea of where i stand? Also the mods they have on there Cars. thanks Guys:talon:

You should see 15's if you get your 60' down to 2.4

Wow, I don't know how you got a 16.0 on just those mods and a 2.5 60'. What weight reduction did you do? Yeah, a 2.4x 60' should get you into the 15's. Also, r/t doesn't count against you. UDP is a good mod, but more practice will get you in 15's.

Well i have no weaight mods at all had spare tire in hatch and all interior in there if anyone is in cecil county range let me know i can meet you up at the track and show you for any non believers LOL. or just to chat would be nice to meet face to face with some of you DSMers. I'm thinking with spare out and now that i changed my oil which it badly needed i'll cut a 15.8 hopefully :thumb: :talon:

I wouldn't bother pulling the spare alone. I would pull more, its something like for every 100lbs of weight shaved off=.1 quicker. I would say change the oil, and with some seat time you can cut a 15.8

Nice times. You're there. Fifteens are simply a little seat time to bring your launch down. Yes pull some weight. The benefit of pulling the spare etc. is not just the weight reduction to the overall car but now you are getting a higher percentage of your weight to the front of your car (which is what you want). you can of course pull your seats etc. and that will save some weight, but honestly get your launch down, pull your spare, and if you can No Lift Shift (if you aren't already) that will gain you some time.

Good luck Friday,

MB
