I have seen act's break fingers without popping a spring. I have also seen act's pop lots of springs. Everybody talks about "brand name quality", i have seen more problems with act than the ebay clutches. Unless your ready to pay top dollar for a twin disk setup, you might as well get the xtd stage 4 off ebay. I ran one with a hx40 and had no problems. I have also had act, spec, and clutchmaster clutches, but the only clutch i've had fail that wasn't related to anything i did was a spec.

Coincidentally we've had fingers break after making too much adjustment in the clutch pedal (under the dash) that we believe caused an overextension of the TO bearing.
