So I was cruising up the highway coming from Houston to DFW, and my power steering goes out. I get home in Arlington and pop the hood to assess the damages. This is what I discovered:

Someone explain to me how this happened? This is the line leading to the pump from the resevior. It's run under vacuum unless I'm mistaken. Has anyone else had this happen before?

Anyone have a spare one of these lines (just the metal part that broke ###) laying around I could buy from them?

Wow! That really sucks man! I'd go to the dealership or a local parts locator. Maybe even e-bay. You may want to check everything else in the surrounding area just to make sure it didn't do any other damage when it happend.

Wow WTF

I predict a new alternator in your immediate future.....

That's too bad, man. No idea how that could have happened, other than a hairline crack that finally expanded due to temperature extremes or a big bump in the road......Other than that....I really don't know what to tell you.

Good luck getting her back in shape, though :thumb:
If you need a hand, I'm right up the road in Lewisville :)
