I have an n/t block and it doesn't have oil squirters, I heard it would run fine because the higher compression raises oil pressure and that's why n/t blocks don't need oil squirters but I did hear the piston ring lands r very weak. Back to the question how does higher compression raise oil pressure?

i thought about supercharging my 2.4 spyder but wasn't sure if they even made one that would fit a dsm. guess i know what to search for now!

Install the oil squirters.Than go to DSM graveyard and buy the recondition rods with the ARP studs with the EVO pistons Dont go to the junkyard and buy the squirters get new.I had a bearing go bad on one main journal I determined it was machining waste (could not find what it was). I changed the oil several times and it came out clean. The only reason I found this was bacause the clutch needed to be replaced in the car. I took engine and transmission out together while everything was apart I wanted to install a crank scraper out of sheer boredom I pulled a main bearing cap to check the bearings thats when I discovered this.I did not want to take a chance so I took the whole engine apart even cylinder head. I cleaned everything the first part I tossed out was the squirters and bough new I didn't want to take a chance of getting grit back in the engine.
