How do you use nitrous??

Ok this is a really Noob question, and i swear im not one, but im confused. how exactly is it used? like i read the NX installation instructions, and it said once you hit WOT you should feel a big push in the power. So when armed, does the nitrous automatically go on when you hit WOT? or is it like in... i cant beleive im saying this... ... GULP... Fast and the Furious, where you push a button to activate it. sorry, im embarrassed for asking but im really confused, and i am gonna be buying and installing a wet kit within the next month, so i thought i should find this out before hand. please dont flame me

It actually works both ways. Some kits come with a push button activation, others come with an arming switch for WOT. Most prefer WOT though.

thanks for your help. What does the zex kit come with? i thought it said it came with a WOT switch. but what if you dont want to spray in first, you want to wait till second? then what do you do? thanks for your help and sorry if i sound retarded.

Most nitrous kits come with a toggle switch and a WOT switch. Both switches need to be armed for the nitrous to activate. So if you dont want to spray in first dont hit the toggle switch till you get into second, then as long as you are WOT the nitrous will be spraying as soon as you activate the toggle switch.
Being that the switches are only used to supply power or ground to the solinoids you can wire in as many switches as you want. My car will have WOT, toggle, and a window switch where you can set an rpm window for when the nitrous can be activated (ex: 4,000-8,500). A window switch will prevent you from spraying at an rpm low enough to damage your motor and will turn the nitrous off before your rev limiter kicks in.

i saw an install on t.v. with an NX system. they put a switch in the glove box to switch it on/arm it. then behind the peddal they put a flat, thin lever switch (hard to explain) so when you floor it, it sprays the N2O+fuel.

The Zex ECU uses your TPS to assume when WOT is, there's no lever behind the pedal. I've never really heard of that before?

Yes, it'll be ok, although I'm not sure how the zex ecu would like it if done often. I've done it at the track and the street b4. Been at WOT, reached down and armed it at WOT, and it just started sprayen.
