How do you prime a turbo????

Put a couple of squirts of oil in the spool before assembly, and gently turn it with your fingers. Then do the no-spark crank as above.

Hey whats up guys just wanted to know if anybody knew anything about ''primeing'' a new turbo Ive never heard about it. What do you do to prime a turbo.

i just let my turbo idle for 10 min and off i went

i always thought the same thing as well, turn the car on check for any leaks, and by that time youre good to go.

You prime a new turbo by pulling the MPI fuse and cranking over the motor to get oil running through the turbo before starting the car. It prevents premature thrust bearing failure.
