How do you modify the 3G seat belts to fit?

I'm heading over to the junk yard again this week and want to pick up some black 3G seat belts. What modifications does it require? I searched and I only found you need to replace the belt because the mounts are different. I don't know how hard that is though and don't want to waste the money.

EDIT: I went and I tried putting the 3G seat belts onto a 2G that was close by and I found out it's just the bottom mounts that are different. How can you switch the belt or switch the mount? I tried but I couldn't find out how to take it apart and had to just drop the belts and leave.

Take the belts to an upholstery shop and have them sew the new belts to your old mounts. Make sure they sew the stitching in an x pattern and that they use some heavy nylon string.

Oh I thought it could be done at home for free I thought thats how someone else did it.

you can do it. I put 3g spyder belts in my spyder. just used the black belts and used my hard wear and brackets.
pull the belt all the way out there will be a loop at the end with a small rod in it that will push right out. make sure not to let the backet go the whole time. It will wind back up. Use some thing to hold it in its open posision.

the 3g belt is of no use. It does not come apart easy like the 2g belts. I just pulled them apart to get the black belts out of them.

to put it back in I just slid the upper bracket back on to the new black belt. and then put it back in the the 2g lower bracket and put the pin back in the belt and let it roll back up.

It was very easy to do. I did all 4 belts in my car in about an hour. Also if you use the 3g buckle you will also needs the lock. The 2g and 3g are a little bit diffrent
