Anyone know how to modify Spyder seats seat chair to fully recline

I'm sure you spyder owners know that your seats do not fully recline. Per design since it would hit the rear speaker or something like that. However, this is a nice seat to swap into an NT, or other 2Gs with cloth seats if the spyder seats are leather.

I've tried to compare a GSX seat and a spyder seat. I removed the panels on the side to see the inner workings. I could not see what had to be hacked or modified ont he spyder seat to fully recline. I compared the 2 several times as much as I can, but could not see what to do.

Has someone done this already? Do you have any pictures to illustrate what needs to be done.

I know this is an old post but i got some spyder seats and did that ..
I wanted to know what is different.
So if anybody want to do that here is a tutorial:

Open the zipper in the back and pull the rusty clamps off.

Fold back the leather on the side and take the 2 screws out on each side, to take off the back part.

Unscrew the 4 screws on the bottom to take the lower part of the seat off.

Now if you look at the mechanism you see the stopper is bigger on the spyder seat. This stops the seat earlier than the other.

This part needs to go, cut a piece out of it.
Leave a section of 1cm on the inside and 1.5cm on the outside. I used a dremel , it can shure be done cleaner..

Now the seat can go further back, you see the stopper piece..

Put it all together but please dont use this rusty clamps , we are not in the last century anymore

Of course the easier way is to swap the whole console from a GST or GSX its plug and play ..
But if you dont have one , this is the way
