Evo III B16g on stock injectors and fuel pump, just want to learn how to tune and get some baseline before I put in the 550's and Evo fuel pump.

In the first log, you are knocking at 4k.

The knock in the second log could be from heatsoak. How much boost are you running and are you on the stock sidemount still?

I'm running 10 psi, which creeps to about 14 at redline. Yup, still on the stock SMIC. After the first run, I pulled over to save the log etc. and just idled until I got back on the road for the 2nd run.

You shouldn't heatsoak at that low of a boost setting.

Honestly, just put the injectors and pump in and tune at 15-16psi.

actually, your logs don't look to bad. Your getting steady timing advancement from 4500+. It's very common to have a drop in timing on smaller turbos around 3500-5000k under boost because of boost threshold & cylinder pressure being at its peak. You're getting 16deg wich is the max on a 2g map. Those 2-3deg timing diffrences could very well be from heat soak or higher coolant/intake temps after the first run.

What do you have in mind to contorle the base fuel pressure with your new pump & extra fuel delevery with your 550's?

From the RRE site, the fuel pressure of an Evo pump is about the same as the Walbro 190, without the noise and OEM quality at 1/4 the price :D So I'm still gonna just use the stock FPR.
