I want to remove the trim on both doors inbetween the glass and the panel. It's the black piece that peels and looks chrome underneath. I'd like to take it off, sand it down and paint it flat black. I saw one pushpin inside the door holding it in, which I removed, and I tried prying the rest up with a screwdriver but it wasn't lifting easily and I didn't want to break it. Anyone know how to remove it?

That pin is all you need to remove before pulling the trim off. To get it off, don't just pull straight up, use a twisting motion toward the outside of the door. Start at the end closest to that pin that you removed. With you standing in front of the trim, grab it and twist toward you and it should start to pop off. Hopefully that explains it well enough.
