My deal is this..when I want to use the e-brake I have to take it up all the way, almost 90 degrees so it points straight up in the sky in order to lock it properly....how do I adjust this??

I would check the shoes before I started adjusting anything. As Steve pointed out it could be time for new shoes. Shoes get old and brittle causing them to fall apart. Most people are VERY quick to adjust the cable but I've really never seen a response where any ever bothered to even check the parking brake shoes. Also... don't snatch up on the parking brake. That stretches the cable.steve said:And if that doesn't work it might be time for new shoes for the drum in disk parking brake.
Steve
2G's with disk brakes have a drum parking brake inside the "hat" of the rotor. That's why it's called drum in disk.jetdriven said:2Gs have a drum behind the disc??
You don't want it any tighter than you can get it with your fingers.realhp=turbo said:Is there any up and down play in the e-brake handle while its down? I just tightened the nut up with my fingers until I could get a wrench on it.
I wonder how many will have to do a google search to place that referenceDefiant said:don't try any Rockford turns with a DSM.
