How do I adjust my idle

Hey guys, I have read through vfaq.com, and also my shop manual, but I am a little unclear on how to adjust my idle using the BISS screw. According to the procedure, you need a "scan tool" and to ground something but it is a little ambiguous.

Is anyone able to explain exactly how to adjust the idle for a 2g step by step or point me toward a more helpful link?

see the little screw circled in purple? that's it. i wouldn't really mess with it though. can i ask why are you doing this?

the purple screw will adjust your idle, but if you need more adjustment with the idle, trace the throttle cable back to the little black box with two brass fittings in it, undo the cover and you should be able to adjust the tightness of your throttle cable from there
