how can I test my BOV

I am not sure if my bov is working. I think that I might be able to hear it in between shifts but I am not sure. It kind of sounds like a little whoosh noise. When I rev it to redline in neutral you cant hear it even with the hood up and standing right next to it. I cant get the tube off to see if it is accually blowing off. Is there a way to test it?

It wont be to loud so it sounds normal. The way I would test it would be to unhook the vacuum line from and take a quick lap around the block. When you shift it will sound like you are strangling a turkey or one of the three stooges. When you hook back up that line it should go back to normal.

Hook a vacuum pump up to the nipple and observe the valve as you pump it. The 1g bov starts to open around 15.
