How can i remove this bolt??

Ive been trying to remove a bolt that attaches my rear bumper to the trunk, you know those 2 annoying ones toward the back at the top. One of the nuts is actually stripped so i have no idea what to do on that. Anyone have any suggetions? Should i just cut the bumper off and be done with it. The reason why i ask is because im putting on a blitz rear anyways, so i might just tear it off. But if possible id like to keep it just in case i could get a litte $ for it. Thanks in advance.

I have never had the pleasure of taking of my rear bumper. However, maybe i can point out some pointers on bad bolts.

If i were in this situation i would

-use a can of pb blast to losen the bolt.
-and use a reverse drill bit to extract the bolt/nut.
-in all worse cases consult with the local autozone, they have been good help with minor problems such as these.

if the nut is stripped or rounded over and the wrench will slip over it use a pair of good ol vice grips. soak the nut down with pb blaster or wd40 and let it sit for a few minutes then put the vice grips on and break it loose.

YES PB blaster is the best chemical solution for stubourn bolts, but also taping it with a hammer will crack threads loose, or putting a propane torch to the surrounding area causing the nut to expand and loosing the bolt. Good luck and please rate me

Will i be able to use this in a tight space? Thats my biggest problem is that there is no room to move my hands.

i know where you are talking about if it's anything like my 1g..very tight spots. i used wd 40 on mine to get them loose. works well and just used some vice grips. actually i think u may be able to get away with no having them installed, but don't quote me on that.

I snapped the heads off of almost every bumper bolt on the front and rear when I took mine off. Drilling them out wasn't too difficult afterwards (including some of the hard to reach ones) and the holes still work fine with the new hardware.

I just removed my rear bumper the other day to put on a 99' style. Dont cut it the 97-99 rear bumper will sell nice. Keep working at it you can get it off. Any bolts that break, soak in PB blaster, get em out, replace em.

IMO the hardest bolts on the rear bumper is the one on each side that goes parallel with the ground. I used a 1/4" drive ratchet for this, seemed to be easiest method.
