how can I clean the block

I got the block and i don't want to put it on on my car, cause is rusty. Do I have to take it somewhere or have you guys clean something like these or just put it.

Plug off the oil feed and returns with blue paper towel, push them slightly below the deck but where you can still pluck them out with tweezers or needle nose plyers

thanks the block is stage 4 block that had a mls gasket so i can use the same set up bro

Drop to a finer grit, like a 320

Light pressure on the long board, all you doing is removing the rust bubbles, but it will dull the surface finish of the block, but the scratches will not be deep to hurt sealing

Yes you should be able to, but an auto paint store will have a wider selection.

The long board I use came from Harbor Freight, just get the most stiff back one you can find.
