How are the 2.4L virgin cranks on the main page?

Been looking into doing a 6-bolt stroker build for a while now. Still over in iraq though and just got extended because of the civil war (go figure LOL). When today I stumbled across the main page with the 2.4l Uncut virgin crankshafts for sale. Seemed like an excellent price.

What is the word on these are they worth it? Was orginally planning on the slowboy racing 2.3 stroker kit but would much rather go with a 2.4L I have a block just need the internals. Looking to put this in a 2G GSX since I spun a rod bearing in my GS-T pulled the motor and decided to change projects to a GSX. For a track car to make somewhere in the field of 600 whp.

With the 2.4 crank its all machine work after that right? And one can use standered rods and pistons?

Thanks,
Josh

Heres the lowdown on the KarKing Mitsu cranks. I bought one in December. Karking stated that they all were the 46G4 6 bolt Mitsu version crank. They are not. They are the Hyundai G4CS cranks. . The real 4G64 cranks have the numbers 64 stramped into the crank on the side. I think it was a mixed batch of cranks. The hyundai does not. The crank condition however was excellent. It was a virgin crank. No sings or marking of wear, or and raised/lowered bearings.

i never told you the one you will recieve was mits type you asked me and my direct answer to was theres a mixture of both mitsubishi and hyundai 2.4L and i also told you i couldn't tell them apart also as far as your "64" theory goes that isn't true. i personally have taken apart both hyundai and mits 2.4L engines i have seem the "64" stamp on both this is from experience not assumptions and i encourage anyone out there to see it first hand on any 89-91 hyundai sonata 2.4L sohc engine take a look at the back of the cylinder head and you will see the big "64" molded in the head but how could that be it's a hyundai????

beside all this drama i still ask whats the diffrence???
these cranks are being sold to all race shops aswell as the individual parties!

and i haven't got any complants i just see this little negative post
and don't appreciate being called a liar!!!!

The 64 stamping is no theory. The True 4G64 6 bolt cranks DO have a 64 stamping on them. Heres a pic to show the comparison of the true Mitsu crank w/ the stamping. Also there is a pic of the crank I recieved from the seller.

this crank will work in a 4G63 6-bolt block right? Making it a 2.4 stroker? Sorry if it sounds like a dumb question just don't want to be wrong LOL.

Thanks,
Josh

A 2.4 crank in a 2.0 block will get you a 2.3 stroker with the use of custom pistons.

yes josh it will fit right in

Thanks we all greatly apreciate it. This is my second tour and we couldn't do it with out all the support from everyone back home.

Now I got to find some rods and pistons halfway there!

What's the difference between them other then the stamping? j/w for the knowledge.

I picked up a G64b out of a DOHC Galant and it too as the "64" stamping. Just figured I would put it in this thread for archival purposes.

Those cranks are random. I had a build before. Well needless to say i broke the crank for probably acouple reasons, but it was out of a sonata ( i pulled the motor) and it had a 64 stamped on it. I got another block from a sonata and it had no 64 stamp on it.
