hot intake temps with fmic

I am posting this question for a buddy of mine. He has a 2nd gen gsx running VRSF fmic on it with a precision 62 charger. The problem is his dump tube from his waste gate is blowing onto the charge pipe right now and we think this could be causing his hot intake temps is this possible. On a 70 deg day he can sometime hit 120-130deg will drop to bout 117 during a pull. This is still to hot to me and he shouldn't be maxing out his care should he?

Does he have an aluminum radiator?
Is the exhaust housing and manifold wrapped or shielded?
They put out alot of heat!

Sooo how about you reroute the wastegate dump and come back with what you find?? Little bit of flex pipe and you'd be set.

How are you measuring the air temps? IAT sensor or a stock mass airflow sensor? Hard pressed to get the temps down if it is a stock sensor.

yes he is running a aluminum radiator and also has a un wrapped tubular.

Manifold doesnt have much to do with anything. I have a sch 10 STM t3
Manifold 1/4 inch from my oem rad and i get temps of 185 coolant, and 10-15*above ambient temps for iat verified at the TB elbow. Dump tube is right next to the lower ic pipe but not dumping onto.

We are going to re fab his dump tube so it isnt dumping right onto the pipe and also wrap his exhaust manifold that should help hopefully.
