1G horrible grinding noise when starting car

So this started today. Every time I go to start the car it grinds horribly. And earlier I tried starting it and it grinded and I let go of my key and a second later it fired up. So my first though was. My starter came loose. Nope still tight as I put her. At least on one bolt. At a car show and don't have the right tools to check the other bolt till car cools. What do you guys think?

gonna have to dig a bit deeper in the transmission area and starter area could be flywheel.

I hope to dear god its not the flywheel. It sounds absolutely fine when running.

It's probably flywheel or starter teeth. Perfect time to upgrade the clutch/flywheel, since your shooting for 300 whp.

It may even be just the solenoid on the starter sticking or not actuating completely to engage the flywheel. I've had them do that and it was just because dirt and old grease in the solenoid hanging it up. Cleaned it out a little new grease and good to go. I would also look over the flywheel teeth. You may have a bad spot on the teeth.

I can't understand why that would be unless it was loose. Which it wasn't and it was only grinding upon start. Never after. And started today.[DOUBLEPOST=1408926758][/DOUBLEPOST] f***!!!! I just realized I spent 100 dollars on parts for my car. >~< now I need more money.....and the parts didn't even make it here yet.
