Holset Hx35 8cm^2

So i want to buy a holset and i can get a hx35 pretty cheap with a 8cm^2 t3 housing. I wanted to know if this housing would have a fast spoolup and could get me to 300-350hp range?

Which housing is a T3 8cm, though? I'm not familiar with that one, unless you're referencing the T3 .55 a/r housing that Bullseye discontinued.

You would need a different manifold and o2 housing for it to work, but it is less restrictive then the dsm BEP bolt on housing. You should be able to hit your goal with either housing, t3 or dsm. Not familar with a 8cm housing as jusmx said, from my knowledge stock ones varied between 12cm and 21cm.

Maybe he means the 9cm housing from the HY?

^ ^ That housing wouldn't fit over a HX35 turbine, nor would it mount to the HX35's center housing. The HY uses a V-band to hold the center housing to the turbine housing, much like a MHI turbo.
