I know some of you guys are running them, but are you able to use the bullseye housing with them? What is the difference between the h1e and hx40?

They usually have the same turbine wheels. So they work in the BEP turbine housings. The biggest difference is the compressor side.

Yes. I'm sure they do not have the antisurge housing which helps spool and flow. And, apparently the compressor flows a little less, though not by much. If you can get a deal on it go for it! It still should put out as much as a 50 trim. W/ OEM quality and reliability.

So, the bullseye housing will work on it, right? I just want to be certain before I jump into one.

A guy from honda-tech.com had put a BEP housing on his h1e. So at least one h1e has the same turbine and housing bolt pattern ;) .

You'll get super fast spool! If you don't mind, report in the holset thread or this thread your results once you get it installed. DSMers need these turbos to be a viable option (viable meaning lots of guys w/ the balls to run something "unproven").

I'm picking up a hx35 w/in the next month or so. And I plan on running the stock turbine housing :O .

Watch out getting an H1E. Some times you can get one with a bigger turbine wheel like I did. I think mine is 67mm (compressor housing was 26cm) and the B housing is designed for a 65mm. I took my housing to a machine shop (actually 2) and they were able to machine it for a total of 40 bux.

However to answer your question YES they will work:D :D :D :D :D .

Oh yeah mine only had 4 bolts (so 2 plates) to hold the housing on. The B housing has 6 bolt holes (3 plates I think). So I had to custom make 3 brakets using a peice of flat steal from a hardware store, saws-all and a bench grinder to make.

Another thing you could do would be to get the brackets from somewhere or make sure your turbo comes with them.
