hey guys i have a hks turbo timer and was wondering if anybody knew what the brown wire splices into i have the harness from hks but their a three smaller wire's coming from it. theirs a grey wire and that goes to the e Brake. theirs a black wire which is a ground obviously but not sure what the light brown wire is for. I have looked on Vfaq and the guy shows everything but that little brown wire and i also have i viper alarm so do i still have to bypass it.

I believe that one is not used. Some turbo timers have an extra wire for a shift lock (used in japan only). Mine greddy turbo timer did and i just put that wire aside.

its probable the safety wire. like if someone tried stealing your car when it was still running and when they let down the e-brake it goes off because thats what the wire is for...if i were you and your turbo timer comes on and does everything you want it to do i would just set aside that wire.

He already stated that the e brake wire from the turbo timer is hooked up (grey one). im confident that the brown wire is the shift lock wire.

It is the RMP signal wire... I have one in my car had to do some research on it as well as i did not have the installation book.

HKS USA Are HKS Instruction Manuals available online?

Go here and it will show you just choose what Type you have. If its the older 4 button black.. 2 on each side.. most likely the type 0 it also has the manual for it so you can set your settings.. speed ect.

If you need help let me know.. I can walk you through what wires and locations on the ECU to hook them to if need be..
