HKS SSQV flange is pissing me off, need help

I just got a new Dejon Tool UICP with HKS SSQV and recirc, but i cant get the damn thing on the pipe because i cant get the locking snap ring on there. I went out and spent $20 on some snapring pliers, and still can't get the ring on. Anybody know the secret to getting this thing on? Its really frustrating, and i just wanna install the pipe and go out and get used to having an aftermarket valve again, but cant install the damn thing. somebody please help me.

We had to get the snap ring pliers, and file them down thin enough to fit. It was a bi*** of a time getting it! Good luck.

PS Make sure to have a recirculation kit!

Pep Boys sell the correct one. The snap ring ones won't work....you need another kind which i have but forget the name of. I do know the end pieces to it are interchangable to give you an idea of what part i am talking about.

recirc of course, until i get GM MAS and blow-thru pipe. anyways, i finally got it, took 3 people, one with the snap ring pliers to compress it, then 2 of us with screwdrivers pushing down on it so i went down into the groove. got it installed and i really like it, its still a little quiet though, but i dont think ive got the valve set quite right, may be a little stiff yet. once i find a hole in the firewall for my vac line to reinstall my boost gauge, ill know what im runnin, but feels like about 15psi. valve seems pretty quiet recirced so i will probably get a new MAFT soon. overall, sounds good, but will probably sound better when loosened a little bit, and once i get my Dejon intake pipe back on. only thing i dont like is the stupid ass c ring that holds it onto the pipe

back when i had a hks bov, i went to a local mienkie and they were able to get the piece of sh*t c-clip on. they even did it for free

you will find that it only sounds good when you hit high boost levels. It is a nice sound when you hit acout 12psi or more.

DAMN SON OF A $%#$%#$%#$% PIECE OF$%^#$%^%%^%&#$%&^#%&%^^^^^#*%^^**&*&^**&* RING!!!!!!!!!!!! It took me 2hrs to get mine on the first time. Lucky me my friend had a key to a hardware store he worked at about 30 min down the road when I did mine. It was still a bi***!!

its workin good now, and sounds pretty nice, a pretty loud and distinct fluttering type of sound. im thinking that if i take out the T where boost controller is on the BOV vac line, then itll prolly be quiet a bit louder, because my old Type S got quiet when i hooked up the MBC. my friend just got a new digi camcorder so once i get it sounding good, i can do some video clips. overall, im impressed and everyone thats been in it in the past few days was like "damn, that sounds bad ass". ill keep yall posted
