I am getting the HKS SSQV blow off valve and i have had a few people tell me i might not be able to close my hood. Any one have any experience with this. The flange is at the top of the intercooler piping if that helps any. Any help would be appreciated. :thumb:

I have never heard of anyone having problems with this. It could also all depend on how you place your UICP and intake, but then again I could be wrong.

I had the Greddy Type S. How will the HKS compare to it. Is it louder? Do the insert fins make a big difference in sound?

When I bought my car, the previous owner purchased the hks ssqv kit made for my car, but he had not yet installed it.

When I put it in, I kept the stock uicp and stock return tube to the intake. The return tube slightly touches the hood, but it does damage the hood or the bov.

Which does it damage, the hood or the blow off valve, or both.

i think he meant it doesnt damage either... but if you position the bov on you intercooler piping correctly it wont hit anything...
