Ok, so my head gasket wasnt blown at all.... I feel like a dumbass. All the issues were with my oil cap leaking! :| My engine runs great, but I want to get it professionally tuned and dynoed for peace of mind. Does anyone know of an AWD dyno in the area? Also, are there any places proficient in DSMLink?

There is a place in Charleston,sc that has a AWD one. I forget the name I'll see if I can find out what it's called.

Whats up, i live in hinesville and have been here 11 years. I'm not in the army, but like the smaller town to live. I owned a primered black built 420A motor back in the day, which was fun while i had it. Now i have a white 97 gst. I usually hang out at autozone on saturday nites and then cruise to savannah meet at Georgetown. Glad to see another dsm around. I am about to rebuild my motor next month so i will hopefully be running again by the end of february, 2.3L sounds nice. I have a family, so i cant devote all my time to the car, haha. River 2021, u still around here in hinesville, if so let me know if you meet up anywhere.

Howdy, SC61dsm. I'm still learning about DSMs and automotive work, but have been learning as fast as I can. If yer interested in some help rebuilding that motor, feel free to let me know! I've only done bolt on mods so far, and being able to help rebuild an engine would be a helluva chance for me. I'm active duty, which means that I'm broke and have plenty of free time! ;)

I thought I would bring back this thread and see where everyone was at car wise. I'm finally about 98% done with my whole build so it should be up soon and I definitely wanna get some meets started soon. By the way it might be a little late but the awd dyno in chucktown is gsc its right by the citadel mall.

My car is up and running, for the most part. I have a ton upgrades to put on, but haven't had the time to tear my car apart yet. Anytime y'all wanna set up a meet, just let me know and I'm there. :talon:

Update: Actually did blow my head gasket this time, so my car is out of commission until March, when I get the time to work on it.

new to savannah area wanting to meet fellow dsmers, my dsm is running for the time being but its about to go under the knife again when start building my 2.1. i have been around these cars and had one since i was 17 now am 25 they do cost alot to keep up but they are fun any one can hit me up 918-430-4551 or pm on here if we ever get a meet and greet set up

so you on stewart, i think i saw your car at the craft shop about a month ago, im stationed at hunter

Yeah, I'm on Stewart. My car was sitting in the craft shop from March until the beginning of July, so chances are you saw it, or saw me working on it. I was in the field from January until June, so the chances that I had to work on it were almost nonexistent.

Unfortaunately, I am getting ready to deploy in about two shakes! I will be getting my alignment done at the Craft shop this Thursday, and will b driving my Talon back to Texas to get it professionally suspension tuned, as well as dyno tuned by a reputable shop in Houston called FIST Racing. They apparently are wizards at ECMLink!

After that, I will be storing my car in houston for the deployment, so I will be forced to travel around in my beater bonneville :(

cool i seen it parked, if i sawya working on it i would have said hey, how long is the deployment

The deployment is just a one year stint, and I'm in Louisiana right now, on my way to Houston, Texas to store it. I have to replace an axle, my clutch slave cylinder, and a few other things before I store it and have it tuned. I live off post, so most of the time I spent working on it in my driveway lately.

I'm still around for three more weeks, but unfortunately my Talon is in storage in Texas, awaiting some final parts to get her race ready. She will not be coming back to Georgia, so I am out of the game in this area, my friend.
