Allright guys i need your help anyone. Okay I start my car up and it wants to idle at 3000 rpm. ill drive it around and its fine till i put the clutch in and then its right up there at 3000 again. It just stays there and doesnt bounce. Its a 91 Eagle Talon TSi FWD. Anyone help me on this one? O I have no mods and the car has a turbo but i know somethings wrong because the car has no balls. please help! 8)

ahhh easy fix man. Your throttle cable is adjusted too tight. Look at the top of the intake manifold. You'll see the little bracket attached to the throttle cable. Loosen the two bolts holding it down, losen it so their is an ever so slight amount of slack in the cable between the bracket, and where it connect to the throttle body.

What are the possible culprets for such loss in power. It has a turbo and it has no kick in it. I mean it honestly feels like the turbo is nonexistant.

Thanks

No balls? Like I always say, make sure you're up on your maintenance first. Oil, fuel filter, plugs/wires. If you're up to par on all that, then I'd say timing. It's an easy check. If you've never used a timing light, well then here's your quick lesson of the day. Go find an inductive style light. Hook up the respective leads to the battery terminals. Hook the inductive clamp around cylinder #1's plug wire. Then over by your battery you will see a small plug that has only 1 wire going to it, and isn't connected to anything. That right there u will need to ground out and that will stop your ecu from controlling the timing at all. Start the car, let it get to normal temp. Make sure all accessories are off, and then shoot the timing light from the top of the motor, down onto the crank pulley. You'll see a little grid on the timing cover that shows you the timing numbers. Allign the little notch in the pulley to 5 BTDC. If it's off, you'll allign it by rotating your Cam Angle Sensor. Hope that helps and good luck.

If it's not the throttle cable, it sounds like the fast idle sensor assembly or whatever. It's held to the bottom of the throttle body by two 10mm bolts, you can get a used one from any turbo or non-turbo 1g DSM. Don't take off the five screws, it's the sensor or switch that bolts to that. It may also be the fast idle switch at the throttle cable end of the throttle body, it only has one wire going to it. Best thing you can do or go and look real good while watching the throttle cable.
