Ok so Im driving home the other night and every time i hit the gas this real high pitched whinny sound is comming from the engine and the oil pressure guage has dropped out completely. So i get home and check the oil level (i had just gotten the oil changed like the week before), and it was so low that it needed 3 whole quarts of oil. So i took it to a shop and they said the noise was comming from the turbo, and there was no oil leak. So the dumbasses that did my oil change i guess emptied the oil, but didnt put any back in (the same oil filter i got from the last oil change was still on there as well). So im assuming the turbo is damaged due to not enough oil, just wondering if its happened to anyone before or what to do about it? Thanks

yeah the whiny was do to lack of oil goin to ur turbo. it will try to suck and make a whistleing sound if no oil is goin to it. ur seals or bearings are prolly shot now.

what do you think that'll cost to fix? any ideas?

I would upgrade if you got the $ as a rebuild would run $300-400 bucs anyway.
Can prol find a used turbo (T-25/14B) for pretty cheep ($100-250) on dsmtrader.com.

BTW.. did you try getting some money outta the shop for the damages?

yea once we know how much this is all gonna cost, were gonna have a lil talk with the owner of that place.......that'll be interesting
