Hey, long story short i rebuilt my throttle body and now i have a high pitch whistle coming from that area. It goes away when you give the motor a quick rev but when its constant is stays. I also just installed a fiav block off plate. still using the iacv though. Any ideas.

More than likely the throttle body shaft seals. Those are the lesser known leak that happens frequently. Of course everyone knows about the actual gaskets leaking all the time, but not so many are aware that the shaft seals go out. They're hard to get perfect when you replace them too. Did you replace them at all?

Are you talking about the seals or the gaskets. How far did you break down your TB?

If you broke it down and rebuilt it and truly mean the seals. Then going with OEM wasn't the best options. I rebuilt both of mine and I used Chicago Rawhide Seals Part# 3930 (90 TB use one #3930 and one #3030 seal), you can get them at motion industries, which is common all over the country. Also when installing them did you use deletric tuning grease? This lubricates the seals and helps create a better seal.

Do a boost leak test and spray the TB with really, soapy water. If it bubbles up, it needs to be re-rebuilt anyway. So you should heed my advice.
