So i found out today my fuel rail is leaking probably from the injectors, now i have to pull it cause the was tons of gas all over my intake manifold .. could that alone cause high idol ? I cant figure out whats causing my high idol maybe you can, i logged as much stuff as I could think of for your pleasure . Help if you can.. also still have osolating idol after replacing ISC that was known to be good and bench tested good as well.

Mods are 6 bolt swap 1g rods 2g pistons, Fp intake, 680cc injectors, front mount, AFPR, running vaccume straight to bov and waste gate,DSM LINK, 3" turbo back exhaust, stainless tubular headers, 2.75 inch o2 housing, 3" turbo back exhaust. Using stock MDP tied into brake booster vac line. pvc in stock location, valve cover breather venting to atmosphere with filter on valve cover.

Run an idle log and make sure you capture Mafraw and combinedft. Also have you ran a boost leak test since you fixed the injectors?

I think I figured out the problem. my evap and charcoal canister was unhooked when I pulled the engine, i just thought it was part of emissions which i was getting rid of. The canister is still there just the lines on top are off. I was wondering why the gas tank was building so much pressure . When I would pull the gas cap off id hear the pressure releasing.

So can someone sketch me a dumbed up version of how to hook the vacuum lines back up to a 6 bolt intake manifold, and which line goes where on the solenoid?

I have a 90-98 chilton but its way too confuseing. and i hope i can find the fuel tank pressure relief valve if its not there now

i was probably causing vapor lock in the tank and all that back pressure is probably why my injectors started leaking

okay forget that data log, Still have high idol issues, cant get it down no matter what I do. Ive tried adjusting the base timing, Ive tried messing with the idle set screw, Ive even check for leaks several times. Only thing I haven't tried is adjusting is the TPS . I assumed that With DSM LINK I could just adjusted it there, which apparently its working fine according to Link throttle position is at 0%. What I was thinking is maybe I need to adjust my tps using a volt meter with the engine off and do the ohm adjustment according to factory specs.

The Car was running fine before i put the 6bolt in and the 6bolt was also running fine before i put it in the 2G. I can't set my base timing with out it idel'd down.

I shouldn't have any vacuum leaks Ive checked everything and found nothing.

What do you guys think I could try to get the idle down to around 800 rpm ? Even if it oscillates still ill be okay with that for a while.

Idol doesn't oscillate until it warms up and the idle starts to drop from 3k down to about 1700 rpm. then it starts to oscillate between 1300 and 1800 rpms.

Oh also the idle doesnt oscillate when in diagnostic mode .

Okay i cant find combined fuel trim or maf raw on my dsmlink V3 lite anywhere as a option to log. Is there something i need to go into in order to use it ?

Also i would like to add a little info on the idle issue, It has a steady high idle like any normal dsm when I first start it Its only after its fully warmed up and the rpms start to drop that the osolating idle starts.. Also the idle set or Biss screw has absolutely no effect on engine rpm's, all it does is change the speed of the oscillation. all the way in is a slow oscillation all the way out is a fast oscillation.

In all my experience with DSM's Ive never seen this happen, The idle set screw has always been how i set my base idle. But for some reason with this 6 bolt swap it wont idle down no matter what.. I believe somehow the throttle body its self could be to blame.

I have my spare throttle body which originally came with the engine I put in the car soaking in carb cleaner. tomorrow I'm gonna swap them out and see whats what. Hopefully that solves the problem. I have no clue Ive detected no leaks using soapy water. Ive determined that my bov is closing by applying vacuum to it .

I believe the problem has been identified. Since I'm running a coolant bypass on the TB, i didn't know anything about blocking off the FIAV. The old thorttle body that came with the engine probably already had this mod done without me knowing it. I'm gonna do the free FIAV block off method and see what happens.
