High Idle

Recently did a valve job on my 95 eagle talon non turbo 420a, ground valves and valve seats, did a trimming belt and also a head gasket and all intake gaskets. Started her up and she runs fine but idles at like 2000-3000 rpms. Any suggestions ion where to start, I'm stumped.

Did you mess with your FIAV at all?

I'm not even sure I know what that is, so I'm going to say no.

Check for vacum leaks. Did you over torque the intake manifold and crack it? Check base timing?

by the way I have the same problem, I have a 95 nt eclipse. I did the fuel pump, valve cover gaskets, the o2 sensors (both upper and bottom one) and it idles and shuts off at random while driving, I can't race anyone cause it hesitates alot, it loses lots of power while accelerating. One day I was driving at 80 fwy and it when crazy on my rmp's up and down like crazy. It didn't gas while accelerating so I move to the left and let it cold for a little bit and it was good again. Willing taking it to the mechanic but I'm gonna wait and see what happens.

Started my car up today and it had no problems idleing at all. Now I'm really stumped.
