Just the other day I was driving home and my A/c started to die (osculated between hot and cold) when I looked down at my gauges I noticed that my engine temp was slowly rising. Even at 30-40mph I was having a tough time keeping my coolant temp down! Turning the A/C off seemed to worsen the problem (and this was while I was still moving). I can understand that the condenser fan would help at very low speeds (<20mph or so), but I was running faster than that.

I installed a new FMIC with short route piping and did not relocate the oil cooler – mistake. I haven’t had any overheating problems since my installation and the A/C’s been working fine. What gives?

I plan to mover the oil cooler to help the radiator, condenser and intercooler. Do I have too much stacked up? What caused the a/c to die – did the condenser get heat soaked or what?

Coolant level was fine, both elect. fans work fine….

I havent moved my oil cooler and have not had a issue with cooling. That may change as I put on a much large front mount recently, but I didnt notice any difference on the highway.
