Now I know the rules state to search before you post, so I did. Why is it that some say that Hid kits don't fit in a stock headlight housing but yet there are forum members that have HID kits in their OEM housing. Also Why are so many people retrofitting aftermarket projector headlight housings to make a HID kit fit.

they will fit in stock housings and ebay projector setups. The glare might be a little worse than a retrofit. In fact there is probably no glare with a retrofit and leaves you with a sharp cut off and clean beam. I got ebay halo projectors and did a hid upgrade. I love the results and my girlfriend says its not too bad driving in front of me.

You must be reading wrong. HID bulbs fit into the stock housing. Why people retrofit projector housings in is because if u throw an HID bulb into our stock housing it'll glare like a mother####er and blind oncoming drivers. I don't care, I'm doing it anyway.

I did this and I have yet to have someone flash there lights at me. I have passed many police cars driving the other way with no one pulling me over. It may be the fact that my car is lowered on coilovers but like I said, no problems at all. I picked mine up from ebay for like $35 shipped. Figuared I would at least try it out for the price. I'm completly satified with them...huge diffrence from stock without the big price tag and it was a plug and play type system.

Ya some cars don't have bad glare if you put hid's in stock housing and some do. For the most part 2g's, don't seem to have too much glare, not too sure about 1g's, but it will still give off some glare without some kind of projector/retrofit... i personally would invest in some projectors or do a retrofit.

the glare isnt bad with hids in ebay projectors. And the beam cutoff is actually really straight. Done the swap, people i know have drove in front of me for 100 miles at a time. No complaints at all
