Hid lights turning red?

Hi on my 2g I have hid light and one has recently turned in to a red/pinkish color. Why dose this happen and the hid lights are around 5 years old I drive the car everyday for the last 5 year. Any help would be appreciated thanks

Yep, this is the typical sign that an HID bulb has gone bad, the pinkish tint.
