ok i am thinking about getting the halo projector lights. i like the halo on them thats mainly all. but i also want to get 10k hid (cheap ebay ones i guess but not too cheap like $100 +) i want to fit these in with the halo projectors. i do understand that not retrofitting will cause light to scatter above. but i was also thinkin about putting eyelids (decal to match car paint) on headlights so maybe it would do a straight line. i need opinions on my idea. i think i could pull it off really nice and clean. is 10k too much light? also i want to get the aftermarket fogs and put yellow bulbs or paint lens yellow too. so overall 10k hid in halo projector headlights, with yellow fogs. is that too much light and what are your opinions on my idea. thank you so much.

Light output will be very poor with a 10K kit. Personally I wouldnt go over 8k. I'm satisfied with my 6k kit.

i know this guy that sells hids any size bulb on ebay, i had them for 2years now and they still work great, just search for (supervtec)

From what I've read, the halo in the eBay projector housings are not very good and some don't even work upon arrival. But most people remove them or replace them with good quality ones or LED rings.

10000k bulbs are not going to produce a lot of light at all. The higher the number the more purple they are. 10k will probably be a blue/purple. You can look up HID color scales on Google. If you want the best HID's, you'll want 4300k bulbs. If you want a hint of blue get 5000k bulbs.

+1 - anything above 6K and you are just losing light output. Honestly, (not meaning to sound like an ass) if you're going to be one of those tools that uses their fog lights all the time then you should not do the conversion on your fogs. It is absolutely too bright to have 3K fogs and 6K mains on at the same time - it's the most obnoxious thing ever with oncoming traffic when there's no fog out.

I've bought two kits from them and have had great luck with them:
Intense HID - HID LIGHTING SPECIALIST
Make sure you get the battery harness - it's hard on your headlight switch to run them through stock wiring.

well i wasnt going to hid my fogs. i havent even thought about doin that yet. and i might go 8k but i dont want to go less. i had a friend with 12k on his civic and it was purple. oh heres a video of my idea someone else done it. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/QtdwhMnxxsc&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/QtdwhMnxxsc&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

I have the exact same thing (angel eyes w/ HID) on my Focus - it seems to be a hit with the kids. I hated it at first but it's grown on me a little. Are you just doing this for the look, not wanting to go below 8K? If you are that would be a shame - the colder bulbs illuminate quite a bit better and aid greatly with nighttime driving IMHO.

well yeah i am a little bit for the color. i mean if i am gettin a hid kit then i want to get what i want. i will have fogs plus hid so seeing is not going to be a problem. (i will make sure i am not blinding people tho) so therefor why not get the blue 8k - 10k ones? and thanks lacroixdp that site was helpful i will prob just order from them. haha i would trust them more than ebay anyways.

supervetec is the seller user name, he sells hids for $59 shipped i bought over 30 kit from him for my friends
