Stock cat works better but is more restrictive, aftermarket "high flow" cats have bigger holes and less reactive material so they don't last long doing what they do. Expensive things to replace, the only thing to do is either keep swapping the pipes out or mount it farther downstream in the exhaust to keep it from getting worn out with the higher heat of a turbo motor. While cats work best when they're hot, overheating them can reduce the life.
