This is a question for those who have installed a hi flow cat. I just put on a 2.5 in turbo back. I want to get a hi flow cat. Does it matter if the cat has posts for the stock hangers? It seems to me that there is a very long unsupported run of pipe when you don't use the two hangers at the straddle the cat. I was able to reattach the bracket near the flange where the dp bolts to the O2 housing, but with the weight of the cat, it seems like a good idea to use the stock hangers too.

What do you guys think that have done this before?

I believe not using the stock hangers at the cat puts excess stress on the DP's flex section. Use the hangers. Any muffler shop can do this and shouldn't charge you more than $20.00.

I know autozone sells universal hangers...maybe you can modify one to fit, and use an existing bolt to attatch it to.
