Saturday and sunday I worked on changing my oil pan gaskets and I got done sunday afternoon.. When I started up the car blue smoke came out of the exhaust and when I pressed the gas more came out... but when I drove it around no smoke came out at everything was okay and this morning I started the car up and the same thing but when I drove to school nohting came out and when I parked at school no smoke came out... what could it be?? Im doing compression test tomorrow

From what you're saying, my diagnosis would have to be valve stem seals. When the motor is shut off, it seems to me that oil is slowly leaking past the seals and by starting it, you're obviously burning up the oil. Definitely get back to us when the compression check is complied with.

It sure does sound like valve stem seals.:toobad: When you shut the car off the oil runs down into the combustion chamber and that's what gives you that puff of smoke upon startup usually. Sometimes bad valve stem seals will also give you a puff of smoke as you take off after idling for a few minutes like at a red light etc.

its valve seals for sure... when you put the new oil in the motor there was alot of oil in the head which cause alot of oil to get past the valve seals later when most of the oil drianed to the pan it doesnt smoke as much or hardly at all because there isnt a bunch of oil in the head

i checked the intake manifold nd i have oil in the manifold would that cause the smoke

and how you change the valve stem?

How much oil was in there? Did it pour out or was it just residue? There'll be oil in the intake system if you don't have a catch can setup.

i dont have a catch can system the car is stock and if i put my finger in the pipe oil is on my finger

That'd be normal then. As mentioned before and sorry to say, it's most likely your valve stem seals that are leaking.

thanks man and thanks everyone... so what do i need to do ... remove the head???

What happens if I still drive with the bad valve stem seals? Just till I save up and upgrade my heads maybe a stage 1

There'll be a bunch of things going on like fouling spark plugs, losing oil, bad gas mileage, etc. I'd try to get it fixed ASAP.

So I did the compression test and leak test and everything was fines...

It ended being a bad turbo woooohooo
