Help with smoke on N/T 4G63

Sup guys, so as the title states, lately i have noticed some smoke coming from exhaust. Usually when it idles for a bit then i take off, but clears after takeoff. Usually, Lately, i've also been noticing that when the car idles for 10 mins. that smoke starts coming from behind the heat shield. Im goin to pull the heat shield tonight. and find out what it could be. Just thought i would throw some suggestions. Also i'm in need of a automatic shift cable.

Not a pro but I had this same issue, my heat sheild was muffed anyway so i junked it.. Turned out the manifold was cracked but cracks of the nature are so so tiny i had to find it with the car running at night as to see the smoke with an LED light. I run a NT motor so it was the simplest fix in the world.. Scrap the manifold and buy a quality 4-2-1 header!! Not a big power adder but if you love the sound of a 4g63, this is a good thing.

yea, so i checked the manifold, and found 2 obvious cracks, bad enough that i could put a cigarette by the cracks, and sure enough, they are real bad. I have a pacesetter header, but unfortunately, i only have the header and not the other half. but the smoke out of the exhaust does sound like valve seals, only issue is i don't want to have to tear head down to fix. It's my only ride right now. Does anyone know where i can find a flange or the other half of the header system? would be helpful.
