please help a n00b out.

ok im swapping out my t25 turbo with another one.

During the removal process, i completely ****ed the oil feed line.

Im now trying to reinstall the newer t25 turbo, but i can't seem to get the oil feel line off of where it connects to the turbo. :notgood:

ive got an 11mm flare nut wrench but, its pretty much impossible to turn it in the small space available.

my next guess is to take the turbo apart, so that ill have enough room to turn the wrench without the turbine housing getting in the way???

somebody enlighten me please.

I did the same thing before I found out that you're supposed to take the *other* end of the oil line off and pull the whole thing out with the old turbo. Then you do it in reverse to install the new turbo, but you've got it on a bench where it's easy to get at.

I started the oil line with my fingers and used a small 11mm open end wrench turning it one small bit, flip the wrench, go a tad more, etc. I had a slight leak after everything was buttoned up, and I was able to tighten it a bit more with a crow's foot wrench, universal, and 2-3/4" extension. Fixed the leak.:thumb:

sounds like a plan with the crow's foot wrench. (judging by the pictures of them) Where can i buy one of these?

Are you planning to reuse the line? I suggest you don't the lines are very cheap to buy OEM or aftermarket. Here's a link to another thread about oil feed lines. You should be able to find the parts you need in post #12!

Oh...about your line troubles cut the copper tubing then you can slip a box wrench down and your done. Total time 5min!

yes, ive already got the new lines. Its just putting them on that seems to be difficult, i'm going to try the suggestions listed today after work.
