I have a 99 GST with the stock T25. My oil feed line was leaking down by the oil filter housing so I bought a SS line from FP. I tried getting the fitting of from the turbo center housing with a wrench first, but it was stubborn. So I cut the line and put a socket it on it to try to prevent it from rounding and apparently it is on there pretty good because it rounded anyway with a 6 point socket and PB blaster. Any suggestions of how to get it off without just taking the turbo completely off? I'm open to idea's. I really don't feel like pulling the turbo off because the bolts on the manifold are sure to break and create one more problem for a simple task. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hey the bolts for the turbo to manifold should not break. Only thing I can think is to heat it up but you dont want to hurt the seals and drilling will just put alot of shards in the CHRA.

maybe hammer a socket on the top and hit it with an air gun like they do to the lug nuts that dont have keys.

Thanks. I just beat the socket it on with a "BFH". Few bloody knuckles later and it came off. LOL

Now to the next problem. My Forced Performance SS line doesn't have a banjo bolt. It has a stock style fitting on the end that goes into the CHRA. The fitting is too long to route behind the turbo like the stock line becuase it hits the water line and its bracket. But if I route it facing the radiator, how I am supposed to get a wrench on it to tighten it? The line is in the way.

Hey no problem, can you get a socket on it ( of the correct size LOL ) while the oil feed is comming out toward the rad? Use the proper crush washers and remember you dont have to HE Man it on there, just get it snug and then a little bit more. Goodluck and let us know how it turns out.

Ok. Maybe I'm not thinking clearly because I'm trying to rush this since we have thunderstorm warnings and tornado watches headed my way right now. LOL

But this is the fitting on the end of the FP SS line that I am talking about. I don't see how a socket would go on it. With it pointed forward I can't get a wrench between it and the compressor housing and it doesn't fit the other way at all really. Maybe I'm just being dumb or overlooking something in haste.....

or maybe i just need someone with really small hands because I can't get in the if I try to go under the line onto the fitting. ???

I see now, cant you get it on there with your hand and then SOMEHOW just get a wrench around it? maybe you need to pull the rad for more room, I have a wrench in the shape of a " ( " maybe you could get a rounded one like that from autozone or walmart or something. Goodlcuk

I'll try moving the fan shroud and see if I can get my fat hands under the line with a wrench and get that it on the nut. Just seems like it should have a 90 degree bend that you could take off the line and put on the CHRA and then install the line to it. Or a banjo bolt. Either one would make more sense. I'll give it a shot though, might just need someone with smaller hands. LOL I'll let ya know how it turns out. Appreciate the help

Well I got it on. I had to move the fans so I could get my fat hands underneath the line with a wrench. But it didn't help much seeing as how the fitting on the Forced Performance SS line leaks worse than my stock one and they won't return my calls or email
