Can some one give me some tips on how to remove my stock 3 piece spoiler without damaging my paint or body ?? i have already taken off all the bolt to the spoiler piece on the trunk but some how the double sided tape is holding on too strong and i didn't want to damage something so i gave up, and as for the two Little spoiler piece on the side i didn't even bother because i didn't have a clue on where to start. so any help from the experience will be helpful.

You have to take out all the interior panels in the back before you can get to them. This involves removing the "floor", spare tire, then in the center back piece there are panel "pops" that are pressed in those have to be removed. the black trays on the side also have to come out.

the center then pulls out on the bottom of the car and UP at the top by the weather stripping.

the two side quarter panels of the interior car come off with a few screws..then they pull out. check to make sure you got all the screws before pulling too hard. there are going to be a few in several places. then the bolts are up under the corners, there should be two for each side piece of the spoiler. and i forget how many on the center section. there are screws on the insides of the small pieces too, on the outside of the car.

the trim for the hatch has to come off to get to the mid section of the spoiler.

hope that helps.

i got you on the two side panel. but i got confuse about the center spoiler attach to the hatch of the car. but anyways heres what i have done to try and get out the piece attach to the rear hatch. i remove all the panels below the spoiler and have screw off the center bolt and the side bolts ( the spoiler wont budge), now can you help and pick up from here?

to remove from the double sided tape use a fishing line and run it through. afeter just use some good polish/wax to remove whatever is left on. :dsm:

As the guy before me said use some fishing line to cut the double sided tape. I used GooGone to get rid of the mounting tape residue and it worked well.

You do realize that you are going to have allot of open holes in your hatch and rear quarter panels now that you have removed your wing.

I'm pulling my off and swapping for the 97 style when i paint the entire car. the motor was out just recently so i painted the engine bay. i'm going to fix all the dents/dings, shave the antenna and swap spoilers this winter. it's going from dark green to Graphite Gray Pearl... the EVO MR color.. it's hott.

I'm not too worry about the holes on the hatch because i'm replacing it with a kamanari wing.
i just hope theres not too many holes on the two rear panels. ill just probably get some rubber
plugs for it from a local auto body. anyways how many holes is there on each side??
