Hey,

I'm trying to pull my 2g driver side electric window, as it has a lot of scratches and some chips (someone tried breaking in at some point with the old coat hanger method). I've got the door panel off and I have the window loose inside the door. It just doesn't want to come out the top. I removed the two bumpers from the sheet metal of the door, but it just keeps catching on something or another. I've also pulled the inner window trim for added room.

Has anyone done this before, and is there some sort of procedure? I found very limited results when searching for similar threads. I'm almost at the point of admitting defeat and bolting the piece of garbage back on. Ugghh, and putting a new one in is probably even harder LOL.

I can post pics if need be.

Thanks

Well, I got it. It just took time and lots of brute force. I've repaired windows on cars before, and it's always a huge pain. I was just hoping that someone knew of a better way haha. Anyway, I just read that 95s have different glass than the rest of the 2gs. I guess all I can do now is hope that the local junk yard has a 95.... :/

I think the last time I did it, I took the seals off the top of the door frame, and slide the window through the space toward the rear top of the door so I didn't need to remove the plastic parts bolted to the glass.
