ok i was driven around in my 95 eagle talon tsi... while driving around after a while the car started to smoke......white smoke.....so i drove it to my cousins place........i let it sit for a while to cool down then we ran to napa and got drive hard GTX oil for it because the dip stik poped up and got oil all over......*we drove in his truck*......i thought that might of solved my problem but it didnt... the car became gutless still spooled fine and all but just was gutless as hell......im thinking it might be a head gasket but idk........so PM me ###

Try a couple of things, check if you have any play in the turbo, there should be no play, my turbo took a crap on me alittle while ago and it was similar. But you can hear the bearings very obviously. Then of course you may have what you have already guessed with the headgasket. But I would check the turbo if I were you first.

Most of the time when the dipstick comes out you need a new bottom end blowen rings. Do a compression check+white smoke. The dipstick come out because of compression going passed the rings.

White smoke means you are burning coolant. So, there is a really good chance that your head gasket is blown. About your dipstick blowing out, I am not 100% sure, but I do think it is your rings. At about what rpm's did this happen, or do you know?

ok p###.... i know its a blown head gasket because thats all iv pretty much been told tlakign to my local napa guy and a few ppl i know that are good iwth cars and one of the best mechanics i know localy.... they all said it was my head gasket....im ordering one from denver threw napa wich is gunna cost me $37..... im hoping i can get my firend and his dad to help me with the fix other wise im thinking 500-700 by a mechnic....the dip stick doent shoot out any more... i didnt put it in far enough.....im hoping for this to be a quick fix but idk.......im thinking on replaceing the ring with it but idk how much thatll run me.....

Did you check to see if you were low on coolant? Or if coolant was mixing with your oil? Doing a leak down test will tell if your head gasket is blown. No since in doing all thsi work if its not the problem. Also do a boost leak test and make sure your none of your hoses are leaking.

Here are some of the things you can try:

1. Compression Test : If results are low, put some oil in the cylinders (VERY LITTLE AMOUNT) then try your compression test again. Most likely it won't make a big difference if your headgasket is blown. Compression test is how you find out if your headgasket is blown.

2. Your blow through with the dip stick can be a bad PCV valve and isn't venting the extra pressure in your crankcase. Get a new one and check it this helps.

Thats about it buddy for now, try those two things and let us know.

This really depends on how badly the HG is blown. I've compression tested motors with a blown HG that registered 170 compression all the way across.

Just my .02,

Andy

I second UltimateDSM check your pcv and make sure it isint clogged. That can cause the dipstick to pop out, and hot oil on hot exhaust parts will cause alot of white smoke.

Just for what its worth a $10 pcv valve would be alot easier to replace anyways and see if it helps then just throwing money at the car.

sometimes your oil will turn out white and milky if your head gasket blows though......?

Yup, that's right. Milky oil = coolant mixing with oil. Brown coolant = oil mixing with coolant. Either can indicate a warped head, cracked cylinder walls or trashed HG. If you're really lucky, it can be all three (ouch).

Or the ever-elusive crushed oil-cooler housing. ;)

I'd say, flush everything, put a new 1g motor in there. For like 4g's it should get ya working. But who has money like that?

GOD DAMNIT!!!!!!!!!!! my mechanic called me up few days ago and said the motor is blown.... i had the psi at like 10 or so and he said sum one that owned it b4 me had to ahve been runing it 14-16psi cuzz the L sape thing on the bottom of the spark plug is melted away * due to the rong octane to boost* and a quarter size hole in my first cylinder wall!!!!!!!!!!! so now im ####ed....... im looking for a new motor tho.....rebuilt with few preformance thingsl ike cams psiton *over bore* shit like that for around 1750 or so...... let me know i need one fast
