Installing an entire Energy Suspension bushing kit and am having problems with rusted Eccentric bolts being frozen into the sleeve's of the stock bushings. Out of the four eccentrics (Upper control arms/Toe Adjusters) three of the four were frozen. I managed to slice through both bolts on the upper control arms with a sawzaw on eachside of the arm and got those out. But the lower toe adjuster eccentric is giving me hell~! After reefing on the bolt with a breaker bar I ended up breaking the rubber bushing instead of getting the bolt loose from the inner sleeve. Got one side of the bolt cut with a sawzaw and the other side has the sleeve all the way up to the frame and I can't for the life of me cut into this sleeve with whatever blade I try. The bushing sleeve is some kinda magical hardened material from mars.... Any help or idea's would be appreciated.....

i just did this on my 2g, all the rear controll arm bolts where sized, i took the subframe to the machine shop next to me and he said the only way would be to heat them up or cut them with a plasma cuter.

so 3 bolts where heated and came off 1 had to be cutted by the plasma cuter wich i have so i did it by myself.
then i just order all new bolts from dsm grave yeard, and soon i will be putting everthing together.

good luck,

I don't have access to a plasma cutter, but I'm thinking a 3" cutoff wheel on some of my small air tools may do it. However my compressor quit building pressure yesterday so i took it down to the local compressor fix-it shop and should have it back in a few days. :(

You can pick up an electric grinder and fit a 4" cut off wheel on it. I say use Norton disc's, I've had better luck with those.
