HELP!! Rebuilt throttle body now have this problem :-(

Ok so I replaced my throttle shaft seals. But with o-rings that fit perfectly. Now to the issue. The car idles perfect now that I replaced the seals but won't rev passed 1,400 rpm's and covered the plugs in soft soot. Now that tells me that it's running really rich but why? Before replacing the shaft seals I replaced my DP with a Megan racing cat delete DP and I put in the o2 simulator and the car ran fine-ish it idled like crap because I knew I had a boost leak but it would rev passed 1,400rpms. Idk what to do other than maybe buying an actual rebuild kit for the throttle body?

Did you adjust your TPS correctly upon re-installation?
 
How did you reset your BISS Screw? I see you don't have ecmlink.

Also are you sure your throttle cable is set correctly.

How do you know you set your tps correctly? what are the volts?

Does it make a difference if you rev it from inside the car with the gas pedal or if you rev it by hand at the throttle body?

Because I used my multimeter. .734 v between pins 2 and 4. And pins 3 and 4 are set.

No it does not. The throttle cable is not sticking nor is the throttle plate.

None of those things to me could cause the car to not go past 1,400. ### one is for base idle, I open the throttle plate by hand, safc is showing throttle plate is opening 100% and closing to 0%.

I'm throwing a CEL and vacuum at idle is now 6 in. hg. Before putting O-RINGS in the vacuum was 12 in. Hg. The cel has to be from running so rich.

Ok so I put a different throttle body on and it's still doing the same thing. I also swapped out the plugs and guess what no change. Idk maybe I do need to check the tps again. I also made a throttle body gasket so maybe that's the problem too. I will check both and hopefully one of those two work.

MAF was disconnected from when I pulled the headlights out! Wow I'm a dumbass!!

It's always the smallest thing. Glad you got it figured out :thumb:
