Hey, first time poster.

I have a 97 GSX, manual, forged 6bolt swapped. Far as I can tell this car was "built" 15ish years ago. I bought it. Got it running. "Crank sensor" failed. Took a year to find it. Replaced it. Car fired up. Hooray! WRONG!!! Massive oil leak. I let it sit. I pouted. I'm now motivated to fix this thing.

Did timing belt. And leak fixes. Car will not start now. Yes timing is correct. Mechanic by trade.

This thing is filled with old school speed parts. Only have "crank trigger". Redline fuel management piggyback thing. Also has Redline ignition coil setup. I'm trying to figure out how to get a laptop to talk to this hotrod.

Anything old like that and hasn’t run really needs a reseal just to be safe. It looks like an early-mid 2000’s build. It definitely needs some upgrades. That management system is interesting and probably dates it because on the site it’s for old air cooled VW’s and other stuff without a 4 cylinder option.

I hyper-fixated and went nuts! I found more information. On the engine management. O34 motorsports had the info/software i needed.

Got it fired. Roasted main bearing and crank.

Found two 6 bolts (one n/a) that are complete with good valve covers and heads. For 600. Bought those. Now going to play musical parts with a trip to machine shop, and build a nasty little engine

Then ecmlink is going in
Im shooting for a proper 600hp.
