While the head is off I am replacing one of the lines from the master cylinder as something was rubbing on it and shaved away some metal.

I ordered a new line from Mitsu and the ABS side of the line is not flared. The receiver on the ABS side looks a little different but the line that came off was flared. Do they ship this way and let the ABS fitting flare the hose or do I need to flare it?

Thanks!

You can see the rolled over flare in the old line. Does this just compress to fit when installed and form a flare? Here is a picture comparing the two ends. For some reason the new line is a bit shorter (length at last 90) and "taller" at the ABS fitting. The nut is also different between the two.
