Help needed today! car died

Hey guys,

Here's a strange one. I left for work in the morning yesterday, I got about 200 meters from my place and she just died on me.

I tried starting it, no power. (but my link and multimeter say 12.4-5 volts on the battery).

I can only boost the car to get it running and if I turn on my headlights, the car dies, sounds like there's no juice from the battery at all. I just replaced it with a new 35/75 optima redtop I bought today, still not enough to start it or even turn on my dome lights.

I've checked all the fuses under the hood. Everything there is ok.

I'm about to check the fuses inside the car, maybe my answer is there. But I have a feeling it's the starter?

good question, I don't think so but I'm not 100% sure. I'm going to say no, I'm checking interior fuses to see if something there is the problem.

all interior fuses are good.

So, unless im boosting the battery, it won't start. in fact, nothing electrical turns on, no interior lights.

When my booster pack is connected and I turn it over, it starts without any problem. I've never seen something like this before.

and when I disconnect the booster pack (even though the battery is BRAND NEW), if i turn on my headlights or stereo, it dies.

Link and digital multimeter read 14.0volts while it's running, then when under a load, rpms reduced by 150-250, digital multimeter read out is low 13 volts.

[RESOLVED] - It was a bad ground from my negative terminal to the body.
