Well heres my story......I bought my car about a month and a half ago and after i bought it noticed that the alternator belt was being held on by only 2 grooves, So i brought it to firestone and got all my belts replaced(including my timing blet) and thought i wouldnt have anything to worry about.....Well in a one month time period my belts have fallen off a total of 6 times(not including my timing belt) All the belts were under warranty so everytime i bring it back to firestone they replace it for free and this last time i brought it there they said they have no idea whats wrong with my car and said they will give me a refund for the labor and parts for the alternator and power steering belt, and they recommend bringing it to the dealership.........Someone please help me imma bout ready to sell the thing but i really dont want to :(

I have also posted another belt issue topic a few weeks back and i got a couple people saying the powersteering pump seizes up at high rpm, and another guy said replace the harmonic balancer or something like that...

note: My belts have only fallen off in a drag race or running it hard at high rpms(around 5-7) also my crank pulley wobbles a tad bit but firestone told me that a slight wobble is nothing to worry about(that true?)

Isn't firestone the ones who replaced this belt SIX TIMES then said they didn't know what was wrong. And you want to take their word on the crank pulley over ours. Well good luck to ya.

If your crank pulley also known as (harmonic balancer) wabbles, and or is chipped or cracked, this would displace your belts at high RPM.

They say the wobble is no problem because they assume that you aren't running it at that high of rpm's. You ever had a wheel out of balance or had a broke belt in a tire. At slow speeds you can't tell, but as soon as you hit 60 or so (depending no how bad it is) you feel hardcore wobble in the steering wheel and car. Well that is what your crank pulley is doing. Do yourself, your car, your wallet, and firestone a favor and get a new oem pulley or this could be a prime time to underdrive it.

hmmmm i think im going to go ahead and replace the crank pulley and see how that works out.....Do any of you guys know how much it is for the parts/labor???
